I wanted to post some of the old things I did from ECMP 355 that I took in my second year of University here in Regina. A lot has changed with technology, especially how far we have come, one example is website, it seems like there is little use for them anymore more and more people are resorting to wikis and blogs as there are so many options with them. When taking Ecmp 355 we were required to create an e-portolio using dreamweaver, check out the site on the link below, I have to laugh as my life has changed drastically since this time.
This is my old E-portolio from that class
I would also love to show you how far blogs have come when I took Ecmp 355 I used blogger as at the time it was one of the best resources out there, boy how life has changed I wouldn’t trade my wordpress for anything as there are so many options and items you can add to your blog. I also used this blog during my preinternship in my third year to stay connected with my fellow peers.
Check out how my blog has evolved
Finally when we worked with our final project there were 5 of us involved and I thinks its quite hilarious that 3 of us are in this ecmp 455 together. We made a drug awareness video, using editing techniques I remembered how old the system seems that we used
In the last year I have got quite involved with wikis and have done some fun projects, I enjoy wikis so much more than website as not only are they faster to use and easier to control there is very little items with you are constantly fixing. In all my years of university its probably my favorite technology tool. The first wiki I ever created was with Kailyn Wiebe which was all about grade 2 social studies, not only did it have lesson plans but it outlined two modules. I know it looks quite barbaric as a wiki is concerned but I’m improving my second wiki was for a science class I was taking I convinced my partner by embracing this technology we would not only have it forever it would give us bonus marks as we used technology as a tool for other teachers to embrace. The third wiki is a work in progress by Horizon School Division, during a PD session I taught my staff (where I interned) how to use a wiki and how to create one ( I also taught google apps, that besides the point), through this presentation one of the LRT decided that it would be a great idea for the school division LRT have a place to look for help when dealing with students with different cognitive, emotional, behavioural, or physical needs. I help design it and they are slowly putting it together
